The Little Things

My work space is coming along nicely. Alexia is playing softly in the background while two little boys are shouting and laughing from the living room . It's been a gloomy day outside this house but it's bright and warm in this home. Things are falling into place. My husband and I worked extra hard this past holiday weekend going through long over do boxes filled with miscellaneous papers and long forgotten belongings that were shoved into a room; out of sight, out of mind. With those things done it's given me a clear mind to work on things I really want to.

Apart from wanting to be a good mom and finish my novel, I have a growing desire to grow my tea business. When I started out a few years ago I had no idea how in love with it I would become. All the creativity and experimenting are endless! So after a weekend long cleaning and decluttering, my mind is on fire with ideas!

After my morning snuggles with my littles, they allowed me to finish on a tea project that’s been at the top of my list for over a week now. The Black Chai and oh my it's perfect!

With autumn just around the corner, the tea season is approaching and I wanted this blend done, needed it done because there's nothing like a warming cup of tea on a cold chilly morning.

Back before I started drinking tea or even cared for tea, I did love a good chai latte. But since I started my tea journey my tastes have slowly changed over time. My morning routines are forever changed. I no longer start my day with a cup of coffee but with black tea and the options are endless! I'll give you a hint about what's in the works... tropical, lavender, rose, gingery pear! But I of course needed to start with my favorite, chai.

Today I did just that. This Black Chai is a delicious balance of smooth and spicy. The ingredient are; black tea, cinnamon, crystalized ginger, clove, allspice, cardamom, fennel, pink peppercorn

The ginger gives it a bold spiciness and the clove brings in a strong sweetness without overshadowing one another and the black tea finishes it off with a full body flavor.

It’s absolutely addicting!

This is the reason I love my business. I love doing what I do, creating and experimenting with new things that I can share with those around me. Especially when it’s healthy and beneficial. But best of all it’s from home where I can pause and take breaks to enjoy my young boy's company because life is beautiful and we have to enjoy the little things because I truly believe we’ll look back and realize that they were the big things.
