As Bourne Again Goods keeps growing, the more new things I am learning. It's astounding, the numerous benefits just from the simplest of plants. Today I want to talk about cinnamon and peppermint because these two are a main ingredient in most of my teas. Both of which are great for you! Cinnamon is especially good for those who struggle with blood pressure, blood sugars, and arthritis. Cinnamon is known to help reduce blood pressure, level blood sugars and it’s a great anti-inflammatory, plus it’s full of antioxidants! Cinnamon is also known to be used every now and then for toothaches and oral infections. The list of benefits goes on and on.
Then there is peppermint which is one of my favorites, especially during the winter season. Peppermint like cinnamon is also a great anti-inflammatory. The reason I like it so much during the winter season is because it’s wonderful when you have a cold or the flu. It provides such relief to a sore throat from the menthol that it contains. Peppermint is also known to brighten and clear skin along with alleviating stress and headaches! PLUS, yes there’s more, it helps with nausea and motion sickness.
After doing a lot of reading about these two, I thought I would try an anti-inflammatory tea for myself because I struggle with RA (rheumatoid arthritis) and it tastes just like Sleepytime! I love it and knowing that it helps relieve my pain naturally is all the more better. After learning there are so many benefits from all different types of herbs, I will be intentional about the kinds of teas I create, not only to assure they taste great but to help our bodies physically and mentally and I am looking forward to sharing it all with you!
