Salvia officinalis, which is also called common sage, is an herb of the mint family. Sage contains a numerous amount of nutrients, Vitamin K being at the top of that list and right behind it magnesium, zinc, iron and many more.
Sage is also known to ease menopause symptoms such as sweating, hot flashes and even sleeping problems. If you struggle with any of these, maybe try a cup a day of sage tea for 8 weeks and see if you notice a difference! Along with menopause, sage is said to improve cognitive functions such as problem solving, increases weight loss and alleviates digestive problems.

Enjoying a cup of sage tea, which is slightly sweet with earthy flavors is not only delicious but very beneficial to your body! In fact, your body will thank you as it relaxes and soothes your nerves.
However Just like any herbal, too much could be bad. It's recommended not to exceed 3-6 cups a day because it does contain thujone. It is also not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women because of the estrogen-like effects that can interfere with a healthy pregnancy.
With all that being said, I decided to make sage tea because of all these wonderful benefits, how could I not be right? It is refreshingly sweet and the sage isn't too overpowering. This sage tea is such a wonderful way to start your morning or even end your day!
